Is there a specific meaning behind the names of the gangs, "MS" and "18's?" I moved here from Detroit years ago and there were a number of gangs in my neighborhood. Learning that kids were forcibly pulled in and beat into being members of certain gangs both shocked and sickened me. Once in, they were threatened with beatings and worse if they tried to get out of the gang. I'm not sure what my old neighborhood is like these days but I have added the gang members, families and old neighbors and friends to my prayers.
